主要从事植物性别决定相关研究。以第一或通讯作者发表SCI论文19篇，参与作者8篇；主持一项博士科研启动项目，参与国家自然科学基金，广东省省级科技计划项目，广东省林业科技创新项目各一项。兼任《Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society》编委。
